Una delle scene più belle di "Twin Peaks".
Bella da togliere il fiato. Triste da spezzare il cuore.
Il gigante appare all'agente Cooper e poi scompare dopo aver pronunciato due volte la frase: "Attento, sta succedendo di nuovo". La musica ricomincia, il mondo riprende a "girare vorticosamente", come dice la canzone, ma niente è più come prima e lo si può avvertire. Chiunque può. Nella notte, qualcosa di terribile è appena avvenuto... Dale Cooper è stupito, senza parole e quando il cameriere anziano (il "masticabrodo" come lo chiama l'agente Albert) gli sussurra: "Mi dispiace tanto..." lui non sà che rispondere.
Bobby, seduto sul bancone, si guarda in giro con immensa tristezza. Donna improvvisamente si mette a piangere, e James la conforta, senza capire il perchè della sua disperazione improvvisa. Il volto di Cooper rimane fisso sul palcoscenico dove Julee Cruise canta. La puntata si chiude così, con l'immagine inquietante delle tende rosse... un sipario silenzioso che sta per essere svelato in tutta la sua cupa drammaticità.
